Welcome to Trust Here AS (Organization Number: 936 056 008). Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using our application.

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of the terms, you must not use the Service.

3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.

You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering.

4. Data Retention and Processing Overview

We process and retain data according to our privacy policy. Key retention periods for operational logs are:

  • Security Logs: Retained for 365 days.
  • Access Logs: Retained for 180 days.
  • Application/Error Logs: Retained for 7 days.

Our primary data processor is Google Firebase.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms, including:

  • Uploading or distributing files that contain viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar harmful programs.
  • Collecting or storing personal data about other users without their express consent.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data.

6. Limitation of Liability

Trust Here AS and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes relating to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Oslo, Norway.

8. Data Processing and GDPR Compliance Commitments

We commit to the following principles and operational procedures for all processing of personal data:

8.1 Lawful Basis and Consent Management

We warrant that all personal data processing has a documented, lawful basis (Contractual Necessity, Legitimate Interest, or Consent). When relying on Consent (e.g., for Analytics Data), we confirm that:

  • Consent is collected in a way that is freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous.

  • We provide users with an easy-to-use mechanism to withdraw consent at any time.

  • We maintain an audit trail of when and how user consent was provided and subsequently withdrawn.

8.2 Data Subject Rights Fulfillment

We confirm that we have implemented operational procedures to handle and fulfill all Data Subject Rights requests, including:

  • Right to Erasure: We have systems in place to quickly and permanently delete a user’s account data from all live systems (and backups within the standard 180-day window following user-initiated account deletion).

  • Right to Access/Portability: We provide the user with a copy of all their personal data in a structured, commonly used format upon request.

  • We log every request and our action taken to demonstrate timely fulfillment.

8.3 Security and Data Retention (Privacy by Design)

We commit to maintaining a level of security appropriate to the risk, including technical measures like encryption and access controls. Furthermore:

  • We ensure our automated retention policies (including the log cleanup processes mentioned in Section 4) are continuously enforced and delete data correctly once the retention period is reached.
